Edit 2/4/22Ordered an 11 "Little Kid" after checking out the size chart at my son's insistence and seeing these in stock. He was very disappointed when he learned I had returned the smaller pair without purchasing a replacement pair because he likes the look and comfort of these boots. The 11 Little Kid fit like a 10 or 10.5 toddler so they're a tad too long for my son who is in a 9.5 toddler BUT he walks and plays just fine in them. Still too narrow for multiple pairs of socks so I've compromised by buying a thicker pair of boot socks. They keep his feet dry and warm so really what more could I need from a pair of $35 boots? My only complaint is the Velcro closure which might be a bit snug for those with chunky little legs.Posted a new photo of size 11 black boots next to an actual size 11 pair of name brand snow boots. The name brand boots are obviously a size larger (aka- true to size) and much chunkier but also double the price so at the end of the day I'd still recommend these boots.Edit 1/6/22Run smaller than actual size. Maybe order a whole size larger than needed (i.e., a 7 instead of a 6).Now that my son is old enough to talk, he told me that the shoes are too tight/too small even though I ordered a half size larger than needed. I purchased a 9.5, he wears a 9 toddler. I wanted to order a 10.5 so my son could wear these boots with thick socks but unfortunately that size is not offered. I still like the boots in general- not too heavy, thick sole, warm, mid-calf height... Only complaint would be that they're more narrow than I'd like and run smaller than expected. If the size I need was available, I would absolutely purchase again.Edit 2/6/21Finally had a real snow storm and my son refused to wear anything but these so we gave it a go. I'm happy to say these boots did a fantastic job! 20+ inches of snow and around 20*F, boots stayed shut over 2 pairs of pants, snow pants cuff, and a sock (too narrow for 2 socks even though they're a size too large). Kept his feet warm and dry even after spending 2+ hours outside shoveling and playing on 2 separate days. His feet did get wet on day 3 but his snow suit cuff wasn't tucked in well so snow made its way down, not in from the exterior of the boot. However, the closure stayed shut even though it's only Velcro and I was expecting that to be the boots failure. Wow, I'm impressed! The only improvement would be a wrap around hook and loop closure but I'm certainly not unhappy with these boots- well worth the price in my opinion. They're easy to walk in and apparently comfortable since my son refused his heavier name brand boots. I will most likely be buying another pair next winter.Adding 2 photos- 1 to show ease of movement and 1 to show my son submerged in snow on a day his feet STAYED DRYI ordered a half size larger so my son could wear two pairs of socks if needed but so far we've only had one huge snow storm so that hasn't been necessary. However, that doesn't make the boots too big to walk/play in. He's worn these out to play in 30*F weather (but that's where I draw the line for outdoor play). He's only 2 and cannot express when he is too cold so we're never outside longer than an hour at one time- these boots keep his feet warm (yes, I'm that mom who removes socks and touches toes) and seem easier to walk in than the clunky winter boots from Columbia we have for actual winter storms. They are mid calf height, maybe shorter, and use a Velcro closure that stays shut fairly well. Overall, I like these boots and would buy them again.Worn in mud and slushy snow, kept feet dry. Cleaned with an old scrub brush and rag with water then put on a heat register to dry.
